Why we play
At Gilford Hills, we are more than a tennis club; we are a community. We share courts, seasons, stories, and the love for tennis. And like every community, we have seen too many of our own members, friends, and family members face cancer.
This year, we decided to do something about it together. On September 12th, 2026, we are hosting Playing for a Purpose, a community tournament and kids' clinic to support those in our club and beyond who have been touched by cancer, and to stand with the American Cancer Society in its fight.
Andres Velasco Posada, Tennis Director
Tournament format
Play your level โ no partner required.
Our round robin doubles divisions use a rotating-partner format: you don't need to bring a partner. Each round you'll team up with a different player and face a variety of opponents โ social, friendly, and a great way to meet people.
Doubles divisions (by level):
Not sure where you fit? A 3.0 or 3.5 player may choose either neighboring band. Final divisions are confirmed based on sign-ups, so smaller groups may be combined to keep play competitive and fun.
Mixed Doubles and Singles (Coed) are open to all levels.
Pricing: first entry $50 (includes one hour of aerobic doubles); each additional division just $25.
